Hi, I'm Lewis Potts, a cinematographer and YouTuber from Australia.
I've created a series of tutorial videos detailing my on-set process across various scenarios. While filmmaking offers numerous approaches, I'll guide you through my personal method, providing insights and techniques that have proven effective for me. Maintaining the same tone as my YouTube breakdowns, these tutorials offer extensive information through expanded, real-time demonstrations.
This isn't a "course"; instead, it's a glimpse into my real-time process, aimed at helping you achieve cinematic quality even with limited resources.
The 2+ hours of tutorial videos cover my pre-production process (location scouting, finding and sorting references, lighting plans), production (conversations with crew, planning ahead, scene coverage, alternative angles, and inevitable problem-solving), as well as my simplified colour grading method.
